Spotify Testing “Your Offline Mix” Feature for music offline playback

Spotify is testing a new feature for you to have music offline, in the same style as YouTube Music. It will be a playlist with the music you listened to the most recently.

Through a tweet, Spotify CEO Daniel Ek revealed that the music platform is testing a new feature called “Your Offline Mix”. It is a playlist designed for you with the songs that you have played the most recently so that you can listen when you are offline.

When could you be offline? For example, when the signal is low, you have no data or you are flying in an airplane. With “Your Offline Mix” you would have music”for when the vibe is high, but your connection is low”according to Ek’s tweet.

This feature is actually one that is already known to YouTube Music users, who have been enjoying Offline Mixtape since 2019. This feature works the same as YouTube’s “smart downloads”: without you doing it manually, videos and music are downloaded. on your device for when you are without Internet.
