Spotify removes Neil Young music after podcast conflict – VG

CONFLICT: Neil Young believes podcast hosts Joe Rogan and Spotify are responsible for spreading misinformation about the corona vaccine.

It’s me or Joe Rogan, the artist told Spotify. Now the music service is in the process of removing his music.

– It’s him or me. Not both, it says in patent, which was later removed again from the website.

He also claimed that Spotify is helping to facilitate the dissemination of misinformation that could potentially lead to people losing their lives.

– I ask that this be implemented today. Keep me updated on developments, Young wrote about his claim.

Rogan’s podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience,” is made exclusively for Spotify. Today, it is one of the world’s largest podcasts.

There is one current episode in particular of Rogan’s podcast about vaccines that provoked reactions in several: In a petition, discussed in Rolling Stone, asked 270 health professionals and researchers Spotify to distance itself from misinformation and conspiracy theories on their platforms after the episode was published.

Since then, there has been great uncertainty about how Spotify would react.

On Wednesday, however, it became clear that the music streaming service has taken the threats seriously and is now working to remove the music of both the famous rock star.
