Spotify is again testing its own Stories function in playlists. The company’s Christmas playlist features multiple short Instagram-esque videos from artists like Jennifer Lopez, writes Engadget Friday.
The company confirms to Engadget that it is indeed a test. A number of other playlists also appear to contain short video messages from artists whose music is on the list.
It is not the first time that Spotify has tried out such short videos. Blogger Jane Wong liked last year the first signs that Spotify also wants to integrate stories into its platform.
Stories are mainly known from Instagram. They are short films that are removed after a while. Over the past year, many different social media sites introduced some variation of the feature, including Twitter.
