The Spotify app often does things a little differently than usual. That now also applies to the way shuffle works when playing playlists. Previously there was ‘Shuffle Play’ at the top of playlists, now it is a green play button with a shuffle icon.
Whoever presses that button will always shuffle; those who want to listen to a list from top to bottom can still tap the top number. Also new in playlists: album images. From now on the album cover of each song is to the left of the song in all views except for albums.
Numbers that users have already found nice are marked with a heart. For Premium users, the buttons for liking songs and downloading music are now easily located in the center of the screen. The new interface elements are now being rolled out to users.
