Germering. Sportfreunde Stiller will accompany musician Herbert Grönemeyer at his anniversary concerts. “We’re really excited,” said singer Peter Brugger in a video on Wednesday on Facebook. The rock group from Germering in Upper Bavaria took part in the Grönemeyer “Mensch” tour 20 years ago and will support the 65-year-old again.
After a break of around five years, Sportfreunde Stiller want to release a new album again next year. In June 2022, the band wants to perform at Rock im Park and Rock am Ring.
Four concerts planned together
Herbert Grönemeyer is celebrating the 20th birthday of his groundbreaking album “Mensch” in 2022 with several stadium concerts. For 2022 three shows in Gelsenkirchen, Leipzig and Hamburg as well as a concert in the Berlin Waldbühne are planned.
