split majority on Draghi’s proposal

The hypothesis had been advanced by Prime Minister Mario Draghi in the control room in the morning and supported by Pd, M5s and Leu, while Fi, Iv and Lega were against. The hypothesis envisaged the suspension in 2022 (and perhaps 2023) of the new personal income tax rates for incomes above 75 thousand euros. This would have made it possible to recover the 250 million euros needed to amortize the expensive bills. In the end, the proposal did not get the green light in the CDM, which also saw a half-hour suspension of the session for a discussion on the fiscal measures in the maneuver.
