In all three Baltic States, the cumulative incidence has increased, indicating a rapid increase in the number of cases in Estonia from 1 to 1.5, in Lithuania from 1.5 to 1.7, and in Latvia from 0.7 to 1.6.
For example, in Estonia, six cases were reported last week, but by Thursday three times more – 18 cases, while in Lithuania 20 cases were registered last week, and this week until Thursday 21 cases.
There were eight new cases in Latvia last week, but this week there were already 30.
Due to the increase in morbidity, the SPKC calls for a careful assessment of the need for travel.
As reported, 1715 Covid-19 tests were performed in Latvia last day and 13 new cases were registered, according to the information compiled by the SPKC.
Compared to Wednesday’s data, when seven new cases were registered, the number of Covid-19 cases has almost doubled in the past day.
To date, 163,769 Covid-19 examinations have been performed in the country, 1,154 people have been ill and 30 have died. 1019 people have recovered.
