Controversy over bullying driving at the PyeongChang Olympics
Claimed to have suffered mental and material damage
– In November of last year, Kim Bo-reum filed a lawsuit for damages of 200 million won against Roon-young in the Seoul Central District Court. Kim Bo-reum claimed that he received psychiatric treatment for panic disorder due to Roh Roh’s remarks, and that advertisements and sponsorships were discontinued, resulting in economic damage. In addition, it was said that Rohn Young’s remarks during training hurt the team atmosphere.
Kim Bo-reum was criticized during the women’s team overtaking game at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. It is because Kim Bo-reum and Park Ji-woo sputtered at the end of the quarter-final race, but only Roo-young was behind and scored the goal. Team overtaking is recognized when the last runner crosses the finish line. After the game, after the Olympics, Roo-young said, “Kim Bo-reum received special treatment for training outside the village.” The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism conducted a special audit to the Korea Ice Skating Federation in May of that year, and announced that it was not intentional.
