Ghost of Tsushima presents its spectacular cinematic launch trailer showing a Tsushima on the brink of destruction, completely ravaged by the Mongol army. Following a crushing defeat by the invaders, the noble samurai Jin Sakai will set out on a path to protect what remains of his home and town. As he embarks on an epic adventure through the vast open world of Tsushima Island, he will be forced to put aside samurai lessons and embrace methods far from his tradition, to become The Ghost.
Synopsis:
In the late 13th century, the Mongol empire has wiped out entire nations in their campaign to conquer the East. Tsushima Island is all that remains between mainland Japan and a massive Mongol invasion fleet led by the ruthless and resourceful General Khotun Khan.
As the island burns after the Mongols’ first wave of assault, samurai warrior Jin Sakai emerges as one of the last survivors of his clan. He is determined to do whatever it takes and at any cost to protect his people and reclaim his home. He must detach himself from the traditions that have shaped him as a warrior to forge a new path, the way of the Phantom, and waging an unconventional war for the freedom of Tsushima.
