As I sat in my office after the match, I told my colleagues how slowly and difficult we were after the last national team break. I don’t know exactly how many players will leave, but they will return after ten days. For the team and the training process, it is an intervention. I believe that the boys will return in a good mood and we will follow up on the last week.
You deployed the same squad as against the Rangers. Were the instructions the same? Strong defense, patience, fast transition after winning the ball?
I warned the player that it would be a similar match as on Thursday. We waited for the opportunity, scored a goal. We also created other chances, but unfortunately they did not change them. That’s why the match was dramatic until the end. But I think in the end we already played it with experience.
You played hard matches with the Rangers in the European League and the derby with Slavia with one goal scored, while you were able to secure a close lead in both. Were they nerves then?
With the Rangers, Pešek did not put in an empty goal, but hit the crossbar. With Slavia, Haraslín did not change the opportunity. It’s a pity, the conclusion could have been calmer. But again, I appreciate all the more that we played zero in the back. We worked on the result and we played it.
It was decided by Haraslín, who arrived at the end of the transfer term. Does it show that it is a reinforcement?
We were looking for players who would help us quickly from the wings. He and Pešek confirm that it was the right choice. When they score more goals, it will be fantastic. To be successful in Europe, you need fast players. When it’s played slowly, it’s complicated.

I never said that I did not count on Pilsen. We know we have a loss on it. We already have Slavia behind us, Pilsen is still playing with it, so at least one of them will lose. But there are still a lot of matches, we want to be as high as possible.
