On March 4, a prototype of the Starship, a US private space company, launched a test flight. The rocket returned successfully to earth, but exploded a few minutes later. The video shows the successful part of the test.
This was the third failure in a row to hit the Starship prototypes. The test flights of the previous two Starship prototypes ended in disaster, crashing to the ground and exploding.
“A beautiful soft landing,” a SpaceX commentator had described Wednesday’s test flight, although flames erupted from the bottom of the prototype rocket and attempts were made to extinguish them.
After a few minutes, the rocket exploded. In an explosion, it was thrown into the air and fell back to the ground.
The “SpaceX” video showed the rocket’s seemingly successful landing.
SpaceX founder Ilon Mask aims to send Starship to Mars in the future.
The latest prototype rocket, the Starship SN10, had taken off from Bocachik, Texas.
The prototype “Starship SN8” crashed during the landing in December, but with the prototype “Starship SN9” it happened in early February.
The trials are being conducted in a deserted area rented by SpaceX in southern Texas near the Mexican border.
