“Profoundly human leader”, “great tactical sense and obvious reactivity, serenity in the conduct of the action”, “lucidity and cold blood”… The general Roland Zamoracommander of the gendarmerie region of Pays de la Loire, was full of praise when he came to greet Lieutenant-Colonel David Bolzeduring the departure ceremony of the commander of the company of Reze (Loire-Atlantique), south of Nantes, Wednesday June 22, 2022.
He created a support unit for attacks on persons
After having spent “four magnificent years” in Loire-Atlantique, David Bolze, 43, will join the group of mobile gendarmerie squadrons of Rhônes-Alpes on August 1, 2022, in chambery (Savoie), where he was appointed second in command.
He will remember the Loire region for a long time, in particular milestone events such as the Basse-Goulaine rave party in September 2020, but also the Hellfest festival still in progress, with a second part to come on June 25 and 26.
Under his leadership, the company of Rezé, the largest in France in terms of its workforce with 250 gendarmes, and which accounts for a third of mass crime in the Loire-Atlantique department, has seen in particular the creation of a support unit for attacks on persons.
His successor arrives from the School of War
“The arrival of new residents must question the gendarmerie as to its staff, its organization and its functioning in order to continue rendering a quality public service”, noted General Zamora.
Coming from the École de guerre in Paris, the future company commander, squadron leader Ronan Keroudren, 35, will take office on August 1.
