South Korean Fair Trade Commission Says About Alleged Covert Fashion Advertisement Jungkook BTS

Because it was seen wearing the product without revealing any news related to the brand, netizens accused Jungkook BTS of carrying out covert advertising. In the midst of the furore of the accusations, idol The 24-year-old decided to resign from his position.

In the report, Jungkook is said to have worn the brand’s products without explicitly saying it, even though he owns shares in the fashion company. This is considered to result in profit manipulation, given Jungkook’s great influence on consumer demand.

“Six6uys launched a fashion brand, Graffiti On Mind, early September this year and Jungkook wore the brand’s clothing on a live broadcast (referring to the V Live broadcast on his birthday),” the report reads.

“A few days later, he put on clothes (sweater) the same with different colors in selfie uploaded to Twitter and Weverse. BTS is boy group top board representing South Korea,” he added.

“Even if Jungkook doesn’t personally share product reviews or ask fans to buy them after uploading photos to social media, just by providing frequent brand exposure, he can lead to increased profits,” the report said.

“As such, this is an incident that could undermine a fair and free market. This is something the Fair Trade Commission strictly prohibits. I request that the Fair Trade Commission look at this matter carefully,” he concluded.
