Sota Oura to Leave Akita Northern Happinets: Contract Expired and Transfer Team Yet to be Announced

Thank you for your always hot and warm support.

We would like to inform you that the contract with Sota Oura has expired and he will be leaving the Akita Northern Happinets.
In addition, since Oura has already decided on the transfer team, he will not be announced on the B.LEAGUE free negotiation player list, and will be announced by the transfer team at a later date.

Oura joined the Akita Northern Happinets in his fourth year at university. He is a player who can score goals by himself, such as a 3-point shot and a drive, but his assist passes from a wide field of view fascinated the viewers and gave the team momentum as the youngest Fantasista.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Oura, who has fought with all his might for Akita over the past four seasons, and I wish him all the best in the future.

As announced, I will be leaving the Akita Northern Happinets at the end of this season.
Thank you very much for all your support over the four seasons.
I still cannot forget how warmly I was welcomed by President Mizuno, front staff, teammates, and boosters when I joined the team while I was still in college.

The past four seasons have been full of experiences and learnings both on and off the court.
In particular, the last two years were a painful and frustrating time for me.
However, I received a lot of energy and courage from the warm messages and support I received from the boosters at any time. And then I was able to grow.
Thanks to the boosters, we were able to finish the season with a career high in the final round. I can only say thank you.

I really loved Akita, so I really struggled with this decision until the last minute.
I will be leaving Akita this season, but Akita has become my second home.
We hope that you will continue to support Sota Oura in the new world.

We look forward to seeing you at the venue next season.
