Sophie, daughter of Jacky, miraculous from Covid, reacts to criticism: “It’s disrespectful compared to what we have experienced”

This Monday, we were talking the story of Jacky Reginster, true miracle worker of Covid-19. Considered to be the first patient with coronavirus at the Saint-Pierre clinic in Ottignies, the man from Louvain-la-Neuve has been hospitalized for nearly five months. He was in a coma for a month and eight days and is still struggling to recover his motor and vocal functions.

This testimony, which is both touching and hopeful, unfortunately provoked negative reactions on social networks, in particular from Internet users pointing to manipulation of information and even … paid testimony.

Contacted, Jacky’s daughter reacts to these few accusations. “There are internet users who wish us a lot of courage and that is really heartwarming. But there is a minority of people who criticize, there will always be people who are recalcitrant, she breathes. It doesn’t hurt me but it blows my mind. The absurdity of people shocks me.”

Sophie wanted to respond to comments under the article in question. “My father was keen to share his testimony both to warn and to give people hope. It’s a shame that some don’t understand it. It is disrespectful of what we have experienced. Maybe if they had experienced it too, they would take it another way. These comments don’t reach my dad anyway. He has already come under criticism since he was in politics so he forged a shell“, she smiles.
