Sony has released the actual machine of the shooting drone “Airpeak”. It was unveiled at the press conference of the online digital trade fair CES 2021.
The “Airpeak” is the world’s smallest class shooting drone that can be equipped with a full-size mirrorless α series camera. Utilizing AI robotics technology, dynamic, precise and stable flight is possible. Realizes high-quality aerial images using α series cameras.
According to Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida, this product is for “adventurous creators”. Sony announced the development of a shooting drone in November 2020 and was recruiting supporters for the purpose of getting feedback from users, but the real thing was released at this CES.
This “Airpeak” will be released as a professional video production device in the spring of 2021. The price has not been announced. The video shot with “Airpeak” is also released, and you can see how the video is shot from a dynamic angle while smoothly following Sony’s EV “Vision-S”.
