For the moment, Sony hasn’t announced any new PlayStation VR to accompany the launch of PS5, but the current hardware dedicated to Virtual Reality can be used on the next generation console.
However, regarding the exact mechanisms that will regulate this interaction, some doubts and perplexities have recently emerged within the videogame community. The latter, in particular, originated from the confirmation that in order to take advantage of the VR features of some games on PS5, it will be necessary to use the PS4 version. Specifically, this is the case of Hitman 3 and of No Man’s Sky: to play the two titles with PlayStation VR, users PS5 they will have to buy the PS4 version, supported thanks to backward compatibility.
To try to clarify the issue, the editorial staff of UploadVR contacted Sony, receiving an email in response from a spokesperson.
