Last June, Sony finally spoke about the next-gen and unveiled the first 26 games which will make the beautiful days of the PS5 and the PS5 Digital Edition during a well-paced and well-mastered conference from the Japanese manufacturer. Although not all games are incredible, during this conference Sony presented notable exclusives like Gran Turismo 7, Ratchet & Clank Rift a Part or even the stand alone Miles Morales from Spider-Man.
But Sony also offered games from third-party publishers, some of which will be definitive exclusives like the two Bethesda games with Deathloop and Ghost Wire Tokyo. This week, Sony was showing new footage of some temporary (or not) exclusive games and games from third-party and independent publishers at de son State of Play. But nothing to dazzle us. However, Sony would have huge cartridges in reserve which could “shock” the players!

According to Imran Khan, the former editor-in-chief of Game Informer and now co-host on Kinda Funny Games, Sony is said to be in the process of preparing a fairly impressive catalog of exclusive temporary and definitive games. The man seems to have good sources and does not hesitate to announce that the public will be “shocked” when they learn of Sony’s plans for the PS5.
The man seems rather well informed since the latter announces that the commercial deals of Sony concern temporary exclusives of games of third-party multi-platform publishers of great caliber.
There are things Sony is putting money into that you will be shocked to learn. Things like that to reserve a temporary exclusivity. You’ll be like, ‘Wow, is this a game you choose?’ Not because it’s bad, but because it’s huge.
I’m curious to see where these discussions will lead in the coming months because these are games widely known to be cross-platform that Sony is reserving for a while. I wouldn’t be shocked if they do something crazy like this.
Of course, the man does not give more details and it will be necessary to be a little patient to be able to discover these mysterious commercial deals. Maybe in the next few days at a new PS5 event ?
