Sony stops PlayStation Store access for PS3 and Vita in July and August 2021

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Sony announced that it will stop access to game sales from PlayStation Store for the PS3 and Vita consoles in July and August 2021.

This means that users will no longer be able to purchase digital copies of the games for the two consoles. In addition, the company will also remove the purchase function available on PSP on July 2.

However, users can still download and play previously purchased games, videos and media content.

Quoted from The Verge, Selalsa (30/3/2021), the only thing that has changed, at least for now, is that users can’t buy digital games and videos PS3, PS Vita, or PSP. In-game purchases will also stop after the shop closes.

Users will still be able to purchase content cross-buy after closing, so users can access the PS3 and PS Vita or PSP versions of the games that come with support cross-buy.
