Sony showed prototype controller for VR, which tracks the movement of individual fingers | Games

Sony has developed a controller for virtual reality headsets that can recognize the movements of individual fingers. A video demonstrating the prototype was published on UploadVR.

To implement the function, a machine learning algorithm is used. Sony has not announced when the new controllers will go on sale and where they will be used. They will probably work with the new version of the PlayStation VR. It has not yet been announced – the PS5 claims support only for the classic PS VR.

Sony is not the first company to implement the function of tracking the movement of the fingers on the headset for virtual reality. Valve had previously done this in the Index Helmet Controllers.
