Sony Introduces VR Gear for PS5

Suara.com – Sony has started device development Virtual Reality (VR) new generation for consoles PlayStation 5 (PS5). This is Sony’s second VR product, which debuted four years ago for the PS4.

“Today I am pleased to say that a next-generation VR system will arrive on the PS5. This device enables the best entertainment experience with dramatic leaps in performance and interactivity,” said Senior Vice President, Platform Planning & Management, Sony, Hideaki Nishino, via his official blog. PlayStation, Thursday (25/2/2021).

“Players will feel a greater presence and become more immersed in their gaming world after they plug in the new headset,” he added.

This VR PS5 device is enhanced in various aspects, from resolution, field of view, tracking, to input.

Nishino also stated that the new VR device will connect to the PS5 with a single cable in order to simplify setup, increase ease of use, while also enabling a high fidelity visual experience.

In addition, another innovation that is presented is that this new VR device can combine several features of the DualSense controller, along with a device that has an ergonomic design.

Even so, Nishino admitted that the development of the VR PS5 device still took time. That way, this headset will not be launched this year.

On the other hand, the PS5 is still a game console that is hard to find. Apart from high demand, the problem is also exacerbated by the scarcity of chip components to purchases with bots or hoarders.

However, Sony CEO Jim Ryan confirmed that more PS5s will be available in the middle of 2021, although that does not guarantee that there will be enough stock for all consumers worldwide.
