Sonatel clears up the ambiguity on the new “Illimix-Mixel” range

To remove the confusion and begin to respond, the Sonatel-Orange group specifies that it is not a price increase, but rather to allow the customer to better optimize his consumption. Thus, the Sonatel-Orange group has been pursuing for several years a policy of continuous reduction in its prices offered to the customer. Thus, with this new range of packages launched on July 22 and which has also given rise to several interpretations, Sonatel-Orange considers that it has not departed from the rule which consists in making life easier for Senegalese in the digital domain and to support the State in its Senegal Emerging plan and particularly on the digital 2025 component.

For a better understanding of this new range of packages, the Sonatel-Orange group wanted, this afternoon, in the presence of the director general of Sonatel Sékou Dramé, Abdou Karim Mbengue, director of communication and external relations of Sonatel as well as other maintainers, give more explicit details on these recent products.
Two offers from the new Illimix range thus gave rise to some misunderstandings. These are the two ILLIMIX MOIS 4500f and 7500f offers which are considered as price increases compared to the old / month packages of 1900 and 5900f.
According to the Sonatel Orange group, “it is urgent to resolve the ambiguity and show that the new range is more in line with a desire to relieve the daily budget of Senegalese taking into account the context of Covid-19.
The particularity of this new offer is linked to these two offers / week at 1300 f (valid for 7 days) which did not exist in the old range. Likewise, a new fixed price / week was created on the Kirène formula and which is accessible at 690 f.

However, the novelty is linked to this possibility of combining the illimix with each other to accumulate the advantages and end up with the most advantageous validity. This will make it possible to benefit from the greater volume of calls or the Internet at a lower cost compared to the old range.
All these details were made today by El Hadj Cheikh Gaye, the head of the mobile department.
