The interim conclusion of the “Kulturzeiter” campaign is successful. 60,000 euros have been collected for self-employed people from art and culture.

A good two weeks ago, the “Kulturzeiter” initiative started – with the aim of raising money as a quick aid for self-employed in art and culture in Frankfurt and Offenbach. Now the initiative around Daniela Cappelluti, editor of “Daniela’s Nightlife Tips”, has drawn a first interim conclusion.

“The range of applicants is wide, the individual needs are different, but the result is the same: they are without income,” report the initiators. The unbureaucratic aid fund is gratefully accepted.

49 artists supported

So far, according to the Kulturzeiter, more than 60,000 euros have been raised. 49 artists from different industries have already received 500 euros each. Among the first recipients of donations are, for example, foreign artists whose residency status is linked to their work as a freelance artist and who are therefore not entitled to unemployment benefit II (ALG II). Actors were also supported who were not entitled to ALG II due to existing guest contracts, even though the failed plays were not paid for or only partially. The next month you have the opportunity to apply again.

“The first response is overwhelming. Our big thanks go to the currently over 290 donors, ”say the initiators. The Maecenia Foundation was particularly generous and supported 20 artists from Frankfurt and Offenbach with a donation of 10,000 euros.

Solo artists and artists from Frankfurt and Offenbach can apply for donations on the website.
