Society. Many public tributes this Wednesday

This Wednesday, many commemorations in homage to Samuel Paty, professor of history and geography assassinated on Friday in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, are planned in Lorraine. They will take different forms depending on the location and even on the internet because of the health crisis. Some could be added to the list by spontaneous movements. It should be noted that no general public event was announced yesterday in the cities of Nancy, Metz, Épinal and Verdun.

In Meurthe-et-Moselle:

In Pont-à-Mousson, a minute of silence “open to all”, at 12 noon.

At Blénod-lès-Pont-à-Mousson, town hall square, 11 a.m.

In Nancy, in the town hall for municipal officials only, at 10:30 a.m.

The Department invites all elected officials and their agents to a minute of silence. The tribute will take place live on his Facebook page at 10:30 a.m.

For the prefecture, seven official meeting requests were made, all in the Haut Pays. They will take place in front of the town halls of Jœuf (11:30 a.m.), Briey (11 a.m.), Piennes (5 p.m.), Mercy-le-Haut (5 p.m.), Homécourt (6.30 p.m.), Auboué (6 p.m.) and Tucquegnieux (11:30 a.m.).

In the Vosges:

In Vittel, at 11 a.m. in front of the town hall.

In Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, at 6:45 p.m., in front of the statue of Jules Ferry.

In Plombières, at 6 p.m. in front of the town hall.

At Neufchâteau, 5 p.m., in front of the town hall.

In Gérardmer, at 6 p.m. on the forecourt of the League of Human Rights.

In Meuse:

In Bar-le-Duc, a minute of silence at 12 noon will be held in the town hall park.

In Commercy, at 12 noon, in front of the castle (town hall).

The departmental council has half-masted its flags since Monday.

In Moselle:

In Talange at 5 p.m. in front of the town hall.

In Amanvillers at 6 p.m. in front of the town hall.

At Amnéville 6 p.m., in front of the town hall.

The flags at half mast in Sainte-Marie-aux-Chênes and Rémilly.
