Social Developments Influence Toy Trends 2022: Diverse, Inclusive and Sustainable Popular Toys

More information thanks to the app

Since the introduction of The Great Toy Book, the book has been further expanded. The Great Toys app and the toys it contains are even richer this year thanks to the further expansion of the AR functionality in the app. With this, most of The Great Toy Book’s toys can come to life. This is fun for children and very useful for parents, because you can see how big something is and if it fits well in the bedroom or living room. You can also view details about toys, 3D images and movies. It is helpful that children who are, for example, big Harry Potter fans, can compare 2 boxes of LEGO in detail this way to see which one he would like to put on his wish list.

The purpose of the book is not only to inspire and make children happy, but also to provide parents with the greatest possible convenience. Through the Great Toy Book app, parents can get detailed information on the toys their child watches the most and in digital wish lists (with up to 10 products). Obviously only with the consent of the parents who have to link their account for this. This way they can buy Sinterklaas gifts that the child is really excited about and prevent any bad purchases.

Available from Saturday

By 2021, 3 million children will have played with The Great Toy Book and its App. The products in The Great Toy Book come to life with over 18,000 photos, videos, facts and quizzes. The Big Toy Book will be delivered to families throughout the Netherlands from 8 October and also in Belgium from 17 October. People who have not received the book can visit all Albert Heijn stores in the Netherlands from 15 October and in Delhaize in Flanders from 17 October.
