All social centers in Marseille will close their doors this Wednesday. Employees are mobilizing to denounce the negotiations that have been going on for several weeks regarding the framework agreement for social centers. Employees complain negotiations that take place in a select committee, without the main stakeholders: the 99 social centers and the six popular education federations. They believe that the proposals do not meet the needs of the associations.
Employees ask for it subsidies taking into account inflation as well as funding key positions for the family and youth sectors. Essential requirements tell employees to carry out their missions which are in particular the reception, the accompaniment of families and children.
This Wednesday, community center employees will meet local residents and community partners to explain the closure.
