Death benefit

The death benefit is an indemnity paid in the form of a capital to the beneficiaries of a civil servant or trainee, of a private teacher under contract, active in the academy, who has died.
It is not subject to inheritance tax or social charges.

Who are the beneficiaries?

Priority beneficiaries:

  • the non-divorced spouse, not legally separated, the person in civil partnership for more than 2 years,
  • children under 21, tax-free or infirm,

Non-priority beneficiaries:

  • the non-taxable ascendant (s).

Restoration

Access to inter-administrative restaurants

National education agents have the opportunity to have lunch in inter-administrative restaurants (RIA).
The Orléans-Tours academy has six:

  • Bourges: AGRIB,
  • Chartres : l’AGRIADE,
  • Châteauroux: ARCAC,
  • Tours: Champ Girault restaurant,
  • Blois: the RAB,
  • Orleans: Agraco and
    Crous

    .

The beneficiaries are:

  • national education personnel, trainees or holders in an active position,
  • non-tenured employees bound to the State by a public law contract and paid from the State budget,
  • apprentices paid from the state budget,
  • national education retirees.

You should check with each establishment to find out how to access it (documents to be provided).

The interministerial “Meal” service

There is an interministerial “Meal” service (Pim) which allows staff to benefit from a reduction in the price of the meal consumed (rate on January 1, 2021: € 1.29 per meal).
The Pim is paid directly to the managing body.
Only active agents whose salary index is equal to or lower than the gross salary index 567 (new index plus 480) at 1is January 2021.
Retirees can access the structures but cannot benefit from this Pim.

What are social benefits?

These are financial aid. Some are defined by the ministry in charge of the civil service: these are the Pim (interministerial services).
Others reflect academic social policy: these are the Asia (academic initiative social actions).

Social benefits are optional and can only be granted within the limits of the appropriations provided for this purpose.
Certain services are subject either to a family quotient, the ceiling of which is set at € 12,400, or to index criteria.

How to calculate the family quotient?

  • Calculation of the family quotient (QF) for SIDs:
    QF = overall gross taxable income / name of fiscal parts ≤ 12.400 €
  • Calculation of the family quotient (QF) for ASIA:
    QF = reference tax income (RFR) / name of fiscal parts ≤ 12.400 €

The income taken into consideration is that of year N-2.

For PIMs, the calendar year is taken into account, for example: from September to December 2021, the 2020 tax notice for 2019 income should be sent, from January to August 2022, it is appropriate to send the 2021 tax notice for 2020 income.

The operation of the ASIA follows the school year from September 2021 to August 2022; the tax notice taken into account is that of the year 2019 relating to 2018 income. The change takes place from September 1, 2021, where the 2020 tax notice on income 2019.

The situation of the agents taken into account for the study of the file is that on the date of receipt by the Rectorate of the complete file.
The amounts of aid awarded as grants may in no case be greater than the amount of the invoice paid.

Who can benefit ?

The following can claim the benefit of Pim:

  • permanent agents and trainees in an active position, paid from the State budget, working full or part time;
  • contract teachers or permanent or provisional approved teachers working in a private educational institution under contract in a working position;
  • non-tenured employees bound to the State by a public law contract concluded for an initial period equal to or greater than ten months, remunerated from the State budget at the time of the operative event;
  • retirees from public education, as well as administrative staff admitted to retirement;
  • the
    AESH

    having concluded a contract with the directorates of the departmental services of national education

Note : the

AED

and the

AESH

having entered into a contract with a local educational institution are not eligible for the award of SIDs.

The following can claim the benefit of Asia and exceptional aid:

  • permanent agents and trainees in an active position, paid from the State budget, working full or part time;
  • contract teachers or permanent or provisional approved teachers working in a private educational institution under contract in a working position;
  • non-tenured employees bound to the State by a public law contract concluded for an initial period equal to or greater than six months, remunerated from the State budget at the time of the operative event;
  • retirees from public education, as well as administrative staff admitted to retirement;
  • educational assistants (
    AED

    ) recruited for a period of at least six months;

  • the
    AESH
