FC Barcelona’s 8-2 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League left Lionel Messi with a bitter taste, as Canadian Alphonso Davies learned.
The latter reported Wednesday after his team’s victory in the semi-final against Lyon at BT Sport that he had tried to exchange his jersey with that of the Argentine star after the clash against Barca, but Messi refused to agree to this exchange.
“I asked him, but I think he was a little angry. It’s okay, hopefully next time, ”Davies said.
Alphonso Davies could become the first Canadian to take part in the Champions League final if he is sent onto the pitch by his coach against Paris Saint-Germain.
