Soccer – Freiburg im Breisgau – zero number: Freiburg’s second and contractions share points – sport

Freiburg (AP) – With a goalless draw, SC Freiburg II and SV Wehen Wiesbaden ended the first game day of the 3rd soccer league. 4,000 spectators saw an even game in the Dreisamstadion on Monday and ultimately a fair division of points. It was a double premiere for the home team, because it was the first third division game in the club’s history – for the Freiburg U23 it was also the first encounter in the Dreisamstadion. The Freiburg team will move to the new stadium this season with their Bundesliga team. However, it is not yet clear whether this will work for the first home game against Borussia Dortmund at the end of August.

Before the second representation of the Freiburg, two of the three other climbers had successfully contested their third division start. FC Viktoria Berlin prevailed against Viktoria Köln 2-1, as did Borussia Dortmund’s second representation at FSV Zwickau. TSV Havelse lost their first home game 1-0 against 1. FC Saarbrücken.

The favorites Eintracht Braunschweig (0-0 in Kaiserslautern) and TSV 1860 Munich (1-0 against Würzburg) started the new season without a defeat. The “lions” are opponents of the SVWW next weekend, who will face defending champions Borussia Dortmund in the following week in the cup.
