So Vienna is vaccinated against Corona

The campaign for employees and residents of old people’s and nursing homes as well as employees in Covid stations of the city clinics and hospitals will start on Wednesday. So far, 81 percent of the residents of retirement homes and 72 percent of the staff in the respective facilities have registered for vaccinations.

The registration deadline for nursing homes for the next tranche ends on January 4th. It will be vaccinated between January 6th and 11th. The next day, vaccinations start nationwide. SPÖ City Councilor for Health Peter Hacker is confident about the effect: “The vaccination is voluntary and probably not everyone will be vaccinated. In the end we hope for a vaccination rate of at least 60 percent and herd immunity. “

Phase 1

In the second phase, it is the turn of the high-risk group. Hacker emphasizes that the most important thing is “the simple registration process for a vaccination appointment”. The people are then assigned online for registration and given an appointment. Mobile vaccination appointments are also planned.
