EDE Since the coronavirus outbreak, fourteen people from the municipality of Ede have died of corona. In addition, fifty residents have been hospitalized due to corona. A total of 138 known corona patients from Ede were reported to the GGD. LocalFocus reports this on the basis of the new figures from RIVM. In Tilburg, most residents (110) died of the coronavirus, in Meierijstad and Amsterdam at least 102 corona patients died.
RIVM also reports for the first time the number of deceased Covid-19 patients reported to the GGDs. This is probably still a (significant) underestimate of the total number of people who die as a result of the virus. “Not all people who die in the Netherlands have been tested for Covid-19. The actual number of people dying in the Netherlands from the consequences of the new coronavirus is higher, “RIVM wrote about it last week.

These figures pass to known corona patients from the GGDs, from the outbreak of the virus until Thursday 16 April at 10:00 am. It is not always known whether someone has corona and it is not always known where a patient lives, so the numbers mentioned are the minimum numbers.
