Next generations of smartphones are equipped with increasingly stronger components. Higher performance is inextricably associated with greater energy demand, which is why the manufacturers faced the challenge of placing such solutions in them to offer users either the longest possible time between recharges, or reduce the charging time as much as possible. The latest system from Qualcomm – Snapdragon 875, can be, in this second aspect, impressive.
100 W quick charging – possible soon
According to rumors published on Twitter, the latest SoC chip for top smartphones – Qualcomm Snapdragon 875, most likely it will be equipped with 100 W fast charging technology. This is much more than what currently available solutions offer. How will this translate into practice?
If you believe the published information, the effect will be impressive. The latest technology is expected to allow full charging of a 4000 mAh cell in just … 17 minutes! This would mean that just over a quarter under the charger would give the smartphone enough energy to work throughout the typical day of use.
