He Legal Medical Service confirmed suicide as the cause of death of the two women who were found deceased in a house yesterday Friday inside a Mapuche community, in the commune of Ercilla, Region of La Araucanía.
According to the case history, it is a mother and her daughter, 53 and 17 years old, respectively, who were found hanged in their home in the Juan Pinoleo community sector.
In principle, the investigation by the La Araucanía Prosecutor’s Office pointed to the alleged suicide of both, which was confirmed by the SML autopsy, which indicated a hanging.
“The conclusion of the autopsies entrusted to the Legal Medical Service shows that the cause of death for both women is from asphyxia by hanging of the suicide type“, informed the public prosecutor Enrique Vásquez.
The prosecutor maintained that “this information provided by the SML is answered with antecedents obtained in the attendance at the site of the event, where we must remember that we interviewed the direct relatives of both victims, who found the bodies and the site of the event was also worked on, determining the nonexistence of injuries attributable to third parties“.
In addition, relatives who live no more than 30 meters away indicated that they had seen the mabas for the last time on Thursday night, the day before the bodies were found; According to her story, they considered it strange that the minor did not want to dine with the family group, contrary to what she did constantly.
