Slack changes owners, communication application sold for 600 billion crowns

The acquisition will help Salesforce.com compete with software giant Microsoft. It comes at a time of boom from work, which is the result of a pandemic of covid-19. Through the acquisition, Salesforce.com will be able to offer businesses a unified platform to connect their employees, clients and partners and the applications they use, Reuters reports.

The Slack application is used for team communication. It was established in 2009 and at the end of March this year had around 12.5 million users. Its main competitor is the Microsoft Teams service. It was founded in 2016 and currently has over 100 million users, writes the BBC server.
