Škoda’s sales fell by almost a third in the first half of the year

In the first half of this year, Škoda Auto’s sales fell by 31.3 percent year on year to 426,700 vehicles. This was announced by the parent company Volkswagen.

The car market has been hit hard by the coronavirus crisis this year. In June, however, Škoda Auto’s sales fell by only 16 percent year on year to 94,600 vehicles after falling by more than 45 percent in May.

The entire Volkswagen Group delivered 3.893 million cars to customers in the first half of the year. Its sales thus decreased by 27.4 percent year on year. In June alone, the Group’s sales fell by 17.5 percent year on year to 804,100 vehicles, while in May it fell by about a third.
