“Now there is also an absolute ban on smoking in all indoor and outdoor areas of Škoda Auto’s premises, including smoking areas without exception,” said the weekly. The reason is that in closed smoking rooms, people moved without a veil and it was often not possible to keep the distances. “The risk of infection was very high,” the unions said.

Unions are pushing to stop overtime work. Foreman Jaroslav Povšík sent a letter with this request to all members of the Board of Directors. “We will do everything we can to produce as generations of employees before us dreamed of, ie during normal or part-time work and with full protection of our physical and mental health, with an overlap to our families,” said Povšík.
