After the first trip, Steel told LTV7 in an interview that she felt more pressure this week as she managed to climb the podium last week. She emphasized that she had made two serious mistakes, but planned to make small adjustments to the sleigh on the second trip.

After the first race, the leader is Austrian Janīne Floka, who finished in 51.47 seconds. Russian athlete Yelena Nikitina is in second place (+0.31), while Kimberley Boss from the Netherlands is in third place (+0.41).

The leader Steel loses 0.80 seconds, but 0.39 seconds is missing to the podium.
