The mayor of the municipality of El Tambo, Cauca, Carlos Vela, confirmed a massacre in the village of La Uribe, a rural area of this municipality, which left six fatalities.
According to the president, the community reported the situation, registered on Friday afternoon in said town, located approximately an hour and a half from the urban area.

“We have difficulties in communications, so there are no more details of this unfortunate event,” said Carlos Vela.
Later, police intelligence officials indicated that the authors are members of the illegal armed group Nueva Marquetalia, which seeks to expel other FARC dissidents and the National Liberation Army, Eln, from this area.
It is the second attack of this type that is registered this Friday, after the one known in the rural area of Arauca (Arauca), where five people were killed. There are already five known massacres in Colombia in less than two weeks.
These are added to the one in the Llano Verde neighborhood, in Cali, where five young Afro-men died; those of Samaniego and Ricaurte, in Nariño, which left 10 dead.
The Attorney General, Fernando Carrillo, raised his voice in the face of the wave of this type of attack in the country.
Are we returning to Colombia suffocated by the smoke of a war that counts massacres, dead social leaders and serious human rights violations? The worst threat to life is not the pandemic, it is indifference. @PGN_COL@DefensoryCol
