Six other cases detected in Comodoro

Two of these positive cases are close contacts of previous infected. The epidemiological link is under investigation in the other four patients.

In Chubut six new ones have been reported this Friday cases positive of COVID-19 (cut off information at 20 hours), bringing the number of positive cases in the province to 203 since the start of the pandemic, with two deaths and 99 cases recovered. The percentage of recovered patients is 49%.

According to the official report of the Chubut Ministry of Health, the six confirmed cases on the date belong to Comodoro Rivadavia. Two of them are close contacts of previous infections and the epidemiological link is under investigation in the remaining four.

The incidence rate in Chubut is 32.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the case fatality rate is 1%. Of the total cases, 2.5% correspond to health workers.

68 suspected cases are currently under study. At the same time, 68 suspected cases were discarded: 56 from the Comodoro Rivadavia Program Area, 9 from the North Program Area and three from the Trelew Program Area.

A total of 1,459 suspected cases in the province were studied and ruled out. Since the start of the pandemic, a total of 2,021 laboratory samples have been processed, with a positivity rate of 10.01%.

476 close contacts distributed in the four program areas of Chubut are being followed up. A total of 828 reported travelers are complying with the mandatory social isolation (ASO). A total of 11,947 are people who have completed compulsory social isolation.

To date, Comodoro Rivadavia and Rada Tilly have a total of 149 positive cases, with 52 recovered and one deceased.
