Six more cases of Covid-19 have been reported
Riga, August 7, LETA. Last day, 2137 tests for Covid-19 showed that Covid-19 was found in six people, according to data compiled by the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (SPDC).
The information available to the SPKC shows that three patients are the contact persons of other patients, one patient has returned from Poland. Another patient is linked to an outbreak at Murjani Sports Gymnasium, but another person has been contacted to clarify additional information. The epidemiological investigation is ongoing.
So far, 210,046 Covid-19 examinations have been performed in Latvia, 1,281 persons have become ill and 1,070 have recovered, but 32 have died.
Data from the National Health Service show that one patient with Covid-19 has been hospitalized in the last 24 hours. Five people with the new coronavirus are currently being treated in hospitals, all of whom have a moderate course of the disease. To date, 193 Covid-19 patients have been discharged from the hospital, including both those who have recovered and those who have died.
It has already been reported that ten students of Murjānis Sports Gymnasium and their coach have been confirmed to be infected with Covid-19.
