According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 9,533 analyzes were carried out and 1,186 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 1,186 new cases, 718 are from Montevideo, 128 from Canelones, 66 from Maldonado, 61 from Rivera, 34 from San José, 32 from Tacuarembó, 29 from Rocha, 22 from Soriano, 21 from Salto, 21 from Durazno, 13 from Lavalleja, 9 from Artigas, 8 from Colonia, 8 from Paysandú, 6 from Cerro Largo, 5 from Treinta y Tres, 4 from Río Negro and 1 from Florida.

In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 788,660 tests have been processed and 36,170 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 27,715 have already been recovered.

Today 17 new deaths from Coronavirus were confirmed in our country. They are 11 patients from Montevideo of 94, 89, 86, 86, 85, 84, 67, 66, 64, 63 and 60 years; 2 patients from Cerro Largo, 80 and 68 years old; 1 patient from Salto, 92 years old; 1 patient from Soriano, 84 years old; 1 patient from Artigas, 67 years old and 1 patient from Maldonado, 62 years old.

So far there are 364 deaths from COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 8,091 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease and 94 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 1,998 correspond to health personnel. 1,607 of them have already recovered, 388 are suffering from the disease and 3 have died.

As of today in the 19 departments there are active cases.

Clarification: 8 cases were eliminated due to their disease outside the country
