Sinterklaasjournaal calls non-existent entry location, ‘pieten in panic’ | NOW

In the first episode of the Sinterklaas journal, which started on NPO3 Monday evening, the non-existent location of the entry was announced. The steamboat will have to arrive in Zwalk on Saturday, but the helpers cannot find the city on the map.

Due to the corona crisis, the Sinterklaas entry will take place without an audience this year. That is why it is called up to send a drawing to the Sinterklaas journal, to replace a hand from Sinterklaas at the entry. “Then everyone can be there a bit on Saturday,” says Dieuwertje Blok. There was no further mention of the corona virus.

Like every year, famous Dutch people play in it Sinterklaas journal, which has been presented by Blok since 2001. This year Matthijs van Nieuwkerk plays as mayor of Zwalk, the city where the steamboat will arrive on Saturday, but which, to the surprise of the helpers, is not on the map.

Not only is there panic among the helpers because Zwalk cannot be found, there also seems to be not enough coal to sail the steamboat to the Netherlands.

On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the Sinterklaas journal is there a podcast can be listened to online with radio plays.
