The silver Olympic medalist from Tokyo Vondroušová won the first set smoothly 6: 1, in the following then the exhausted Belgian woman gave up the match played in the heat during the second game. In the seventh game, she lost to 0: 40, but in the end she managed another break and served the match herself. She made it to the quarterfinals, in which the better of the match between Switzerland’s Victoria Golubicova and Sweden’s Rebecca Peterson, awaited her for the fourth time this year, of which she reached the final in Prague.

Siniak didn’t linger long

At the Cleveland tournament, Kateřina Siniaková swept the Japanese Nagi Hanatani in three quarters of an hour and advanced to the quarterfinals. The Olympic champion in doubles was given two “canaries” by the player of the fifth hundred in the world rankings.
