R&B singer Ne-Yo and his wife Chrystal Renay divorce after a marriage of almost four years. The singer still loves his wife but their dark sides do not match, he says on Monday Private Talk with Alexis Texas.
“It’s not something sad,” the singer said about the breakup. “We both have our demons and we found that they don’t match. Until we have our demons under control, we can’t be married.”
“It’s the end of a chapter but not of the book,” continues Ne-Yo. “We will always be family and I love her with all my heart.”
The singer further reveals that he will soon be the song Pinky ring brings out. In his own words, he has written off his feelings about the breakup with his wife as a deliberate processing technique, without the number exactly addressing his personal situation.
Ne-Yo and Renay have two children together. From a previous relationship the singer has a daughter and a son.
Twelve years ago the singer and his girlfriend at the time also welcomed a son whom they called Chimere. Later, however, Ne-Yo turned out not to be the boy’s father.
