Eefje de Visser has her number on Wednesday evening Oh won the Rigter Schaal for the most played song on Dutch soil.
The award was presented by 3FM DJs Frank van der Lende and Eva Koreman in the BNNVARA program Eve. The singer was surprised with the prize just before her performance in the program. “Great,” she thought.
The prize, named after radio DJ Wim Rigter, who died in 2004, was last awarded to Rondé in 2018 for her song Naturally. Due to the cancellation of the 3FM Awards last year, the prize was not awarded, but the radio station changed that this year.
Racoon, Anouk, VanVelzen, Ilse DeLange, Douwe Bob and Chef’Special, among others, previously won the prize.
