In the category of things we did not expect, the Sims will be at the heart of a whole new – and a little strange – reality show which will be broadcast in mid-July.

Titled The Sims Spark’d, the series will bring together 12 participants who will compete to create the “most unique characters, worlds and stories” within Sims 4. They will then be judged by a jury made up of celebrities. Additional motivation: participants will have a chance to win a cash prize of US $ 100,000.
For the moment, the identity of the competitors has not been revealed, but we promise that they will be famous personalities on the web.
If you ever doubt the concept, a trailer for the four-episode series, developed by Eleague and Buzzfeed Multiplayer, in collaboration with Electronic Arts, has been available since Wednesday on the web.

One thing is certain, fans of television competitions should not be disoriented, although we are starting to move away a little (a lot) from the famous cooking or renovation reality shows.
Note that, alongside the dissemination of Sims Spark’d, challenges will be launched in The Sims 4 and the best creators can be selected to participate in a possible next season of the series.
The Sims Spark’d will be broadcast on the American channel TBS, as well as on the web, from July 17.
