Simple as that! Viennese Founders’ Day is entering its 6th round

Vienna (A) Simple as that! – this was the motto of this year’s 6th WIENERIN Founders’ Day. Always in the foreground: promoting the economic self-determination of women. The keynote, panel, live talk and workshops showed how great it is when women support and encourage each other.

Editor-in-Chief Birgit Brieber: “In recent years, an unprecedented community has formed around the theme of starting a company, which appreciates the spirit of Founders ‘Day and the many practical advice you can draw from the event. Founders’ Day inspires and empowers women, but also offers them the know-how to successfully start their own business “.

Again this year there was a wide-ranging program of inspiring keynotes, inspo talks, panels, a live pitch and, of course, numerous exciting workshops. The event is a platform for start-ups, entrepreneurs and women who want to present their ideas, share knowledge and experiences and expand the vast network of women founders.

This year’s motto was: “In conversations with the founders, I often got the feeling that many women thought their business idea wasn’t special enough to start a business. Often it’s the simpler things or private passions that they can be turned into big business if you wish, “says editor-in-chief Birgit Brieber.

Moderator Johanna Setzer led the day and welcomed numerous visitors on site and during the live stream. The event was opened by WKÖ Vice President and Federal President Martha Schultz. Inspo talks with Doris Felber, Susana Nieder-Feichtinger (Adler Pharma) and Denise Kratzenberg (CHEEX) followed.

During the panel, Johanna Setzer discussed “Justifications Made Easy: What Really Matters” with Martha Schultz (Vice President and Federal President of WKÖ), Valerie Höllinger (Director General of Austrian Standards), Mariana Karepova (President of the Patent Office Austrian), Viola Stepper (VS Home GmbH) and (Stepper Bau GmbH) and Prof. Dr. Karina Sopp (Technical University of Freiberg). A live pitch in collaboration with 2 minutes and 2 million followed. This was moderated by Ruth Gabler-Schachermayer (BalanceUp). Four founders presented their business ideas to a first-rate jury made up of leading investors and founders, consisting of Dr. Gabriele Tatzberger (business agency), Caroline Klinger (2 minutes and 2 million), Viktoria Koch (Lancôme) and Lisi Molzbichler (BalanceUp).

The Ask-Me-Anything session with Katharina Schneider (Mediashop) also offered a unique opportunity this year to ask the successful founder of Mediashop about her career, business model and challenges. What it evaluates in 2 minutes, 2 million and in which startups does it see potential. In addition, visitors were able to take part in exciting workshops on the topics “Women Founders Workshop (WKÖ),” How can I get funding for my business idea? “(Business Agency),” Social Media like a pro “(COPE), “WIENERIN Speed Networking” and “Feminine Empowerment” (Lancôme).

A special highlight was the live interview and keynote from Global Digital Women founder Tijen Onaran. She chatted for on-site attendees, but also for viewers in the live stream, inspiring personal stuff from the online sewing box.

More than 300 guests were in attendance and more than 400 people watched the live stream – a new record.
