But Rosetta 2 has a limitation: it recognizes virtualizers and refuses to launch them. Installing operating systems written for Intel is nearly impossible. Probably, craftsmen will be able to get around this ban – but officially Windows will no longer be on Mac. But on Macs with Apple Silicon, without tricks and emulations, you can install any application for iOS or iPadOS. Mac users with Apple Silicon will have access to the App Store for all three platforms – macOS, iOS, iPadOS. Some of the programs for iOS and iPadOS can even be used, and on a Mac with a touch interface – almost all. Now there is a need for it.
Combining Mac and iPad
This idea is increasingly expressed in our Telegram chat, Apple representatives seemingly exclude such an opportunity, on an intuitive level (instinctively) I don’t like this idea, but I don’t have any clear arguments against it. But there are a lot of arguments in her favor, and among them there are very convincing ones. Maybe someday this will happen – I hope that soon.
