Silent march for Bas van Wijk: ‘Our hero’ | Inland

The procession starts at 7 p.m. The procession runs from Bas football club (Pancratius) to the church on Burgemeester Amersfoordtlaan in Badhoevedorp, opposite the Oranje Nassau School. There the body of Bas is laid out. Relatives can give a final greeting.

“I had T-shirts printed with ‘our hero’ on the front and the hashtag #allesisvoorbassie on the back,” Belinda Kreugel, organizer of the tour, told RTL Nieuws. “And I ordered roses. Because I want a gigantic mountain of roses to be near the church on Friday. ”

Bas probably died because a friend of his was in danger of being robbed. Mayor Halsema confirms that everything indicates that he is an innocent victim.

In the breach

“A group of men with a slightly tinted appearance came to the dock and had it on a friend of Bas’s Rolex. He has said something about it ”, an acquaintance previously told De Telegraaf. “That’s how we know Bas completely. He is really a very sweet boy who took care of others. A cheerful, sporty guy, who always stood up for everyone. ”

The perpetrator has still not been arrested. The police did, however, receive 20 tips. Witnesses can still report. The police are particularly looking for witnesses who stood on a bridge near the Oude Haagse Weg where the perpetrator presumably fled.
