Signal from Alien Captured by Chinese Radio Telescope, What is it? page all

KOMPAS.com – Astronomer China claims that the enormous ‘Sky Eye’ telescope belonging to the bamboo curtain country has received a signal trail from civilization alien far away.

According to a report published Tuesday (14/6/2022) in Science and Technology Daily, the official media of China’s Ministry of Science and Technology, astronomers at Beijing Normal University have discovered several cases of possible traces of extraterrestrial technology and civilization from beyond Earth.

The signal was captured by China’s Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST), also known as Sky Eye.

Quoted from Live ScienceThursday (16/6/2022), the Sky Eye telescope, the world’s largest radio telescope, began work on scanning outer space for radio signals that could indicate life beyond Earth in 2019. The telescope then screened that data in 2020.

In analyzing the data the researchers discovered two suspicious narrow-band radio waves, a potentially artificial radio signal.

Then, in 2022, in a targeted survey of exoplanets, researchers again discovered that the Chinese radio telescope picked up strange narrow-band radio signals, bringing the total to three.

Since the signal is a narrow-band radio wave normally only used by aircraft and human satellites, it could be generated by alien technology.

However, the scientists say their findings are preliminary and should be taken with caution until analysis is complete.

“These are several different narrow-band electromagnetic signals from the past, and the team is currently working on further investigations,” Zhang Tongjie, chief scientist at the China Extraterrestrial Civilization Research Group at Beijing Normal University, told Science and Technology Daily.

“Possible suspicious signal (allegedly signal from aliens) it could also be some kind of radio interference and that needs to be confirmed further. It may be a long process,” Tongjie added.

Tongjie also explained that his team plans to make repeated observations of the strange signal to make sure it is a radio signal interference or not. In addition, to obtain as much information as possible about the signal.

“We hope that the FAST telescope will be the first to discover and confirm the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations,” Tongjie said.

Following its publication, the report quickly began circulating on the Chinese social media network Weibo and was picked up by a number of other state-owned media outlets.

However, the report was later deleted while the reason behind its sudden removal was unclear.

Signals from radio waves from space are not the first time scientists have confused scientists.

In August 1977, a Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence conducted using the Ohio State University Big Ear Telescope found a very strong electromagnetic explosion.

The explosions were one minute long, blazing at a frequency scientists suspect could be used by alien civilizations.

However, the search continued with empty dates, suggesting the signal may have come from a sun-like star located in the constellation Sagittarius. Even so, the source of the signal is still a mystery.

Then in 2019, astronomers looked at a signal emitted to Earth from Proxima Centauri—the closest star system to the Sun (about 4.2 light-years away) and home to at least one potentially habitable planet.

The signal was a narrow-band radio wave typically associated with man-made objects, which led scientists to suspect the interesting possibility that it could be from alien technology.

But a study released two years later of the findings showed that the signal was most likely generated by malfunctioning human technology.
